Combat Alpha Test

It went really well and it was a nice way to break in the new Geek Chic table.

There were a few suggested changes and some tweaks that need to be made.  It's not quite ready for prime time but I think it will be soon enough.

Two types of magic use

Elementalist

Has ability to learn all the spell types

Talent

Has limited access to one spell type
Talents take an action to activate and then may be maintained by spending the FTG cost



Spell Effects - Combat


example 1:


Fire

Elementalist

Harmful
Range: 20 ft FTG/REC: 2/2
Damage: 3 Secondary Effect: Burn for 1 VIT for 3 rounds

Beneficial
Range: 20 ft FTG/REC: 2/2
Effect: Shield - Melee attackers take 2 VIT damage for 5 rounds

Talent

Cost: 2 FTG/Round
Effect: Weapons gain Burn for 1 VIT for 3 rounds

example 2:

Light/Life


Elementalist

Harmful
Range: 20 ft FTG/REC: 2/2
Damage: 3 Secondary Effect: Blind for 3 rounds

Beneficial
Range: 20 ft FTG/REC: 2/2
Effect: Heal 5 VIT or 1 WND
Declare VIT or WND heal before cast
Roll as if attacking PRE(caster) vs d20 to determine if the heal is a ‘Solid Hit’
A Solid Hit on a WND heal will heal caster PRE in VIT and 2 WND
or
Range: 20 ft FTG/REC: 4/2
Effect: +1 VIT per round for 5 rounds

Talent

Cost: 1 FTG/Round
Effect: +1 VIT per round and +1 WND per 10 rounds

Further Progress

I'm finally working on getting everything out of my brain and into some documents.  I've asked some people to look over what I have and make comments and I'm willing to add more people to the list.
